Had a great time skiing with the R1S 3 weeks back. We a side note, it has been a while since we were on a road trip so I hadn't used the nav system for some time.
The maps worked amazing as always, and really looked very good. The traffic highlights look good and the turn by turn are pretty great. Would be awesome if Rivian gets the text to voice sorted out and maybe the multi-lane turn by turn features going I think they might just have Google and apple beat.
I can't help but wonder what things would looks like if Rivian started selling their software and their front end map interface to more car companies and not just VW as some rumors have suggested. I feel like they are really just a few months from a really breakout on multiple fronts as a company.
