Recently, I've noticed that on 'Auto' mode, the HVAC system just keeps heating past the set point. For instance, I set it to 69F but the car gets really hot. When I check the app, it tells me the cabin is at 73F. The system is on auto, fan is on medium, recirculate is on, back seat is off and the front seats are synched. Tried a hard reset on Sunday but the behavior persists.
I've tried setting the temp all the way up and then all the way down as well as turning off and on the HVAC. I’ve also done several reboots. The issue, however, seems to persist. The system heats past the set point when in auto mode. Yesterday, I set it at 63 and the car got really warm. I checked the app and it said the car was at 70. It was about 20 outside. Other things I’ve noticed:
-If I set the temperature at a lower temp then the car is, the climate screen will show blue coming out of vents. However, if I put my hand on the vents, I fell warm air.
-If I put the system in manual mode and turn it down all the way to LO, the air coming out is colder but not AC cold if you know what I mean. Now, it was 20 outside today so maybe the heat pump can’t really produce air that cold.
Has anybody else experienced this? I haven't really seen lots of HVAC problem threads but has anyone had this specific bug too and found a fix?
