So I went to a car wash once, that was about 4 months ago, after getting back from a road trip, and when I got there, I was careful to put the R1T in car wash mode... but what I wasn't expecting was that the windshield would crack straight down the middle from top to bottom. This car wash is water and soap only, so none of those flippy flappys or rolling things.

Rivian said that the car wash probably just had too much water pressure...which is really odd thing to say considering no other cars were rolling out of there with cracked windshields, but not surprising that they wouldn't cover it.

Luckily my insurance covered it...but the issue then was getting a place that could actually find a Rivian in their system in order to get the new windshield...and then once that happens, I have to take it to the service center for recalibrating. After 2 weeks of waiting, I was finally able to get the windshield fixed, which was a huge relief for me.

To add insult to injury, the car wash didn't even do a very good job hahaha...

Too much water pressure... I doubt it. Seems like a bit of a freak accident!

Nah, their excuse doesn't cut it. Glad your insurance covered it but maybe Rivian could have done something about it too. My own opinion
