@electruck4x4 released their Gen2 Megawatt rockslider/step in December. After reseaching Rivian rocksliders this one seemed to be the sturdiest of those available. It is also the only one with kickout flares at the front and rear for extra protection. (I feel like they are beefy enough to support the whole weight of the vehicle—if I ever need that). They cost about $2k and it was purchased by a friend late last week.
I was present during the installation process and the hardest part was taking the underbody plastic off first because of the spring clips on the edge of the car, but you can find videos online on how to do that. Then you losen five large TP55 Torx bolts and remove two 17mm bolts. The rockslider were set on two 5 gallon buckets, and slipped on the losened bolts on the edge and reinserted the the 17mm bolts on the two flanges. Then with a torque wrench and some blue thread locker, torque down all 7 bolts to the specs in the instructions. The sliders do cover up the jack puck holes, but there are holes in the slider you can use, or you can use a standard lift on the sliders.
The installation process seems easy and for a family-owned business, customer service was great. The extra step makes it super easy to get into the R1S.
