About 2 Saturdays back, Pete Fife, his friend David Baker, myself along with Pete's son/daughter, and Cody (Pete's Dog) took his and David's R1S' for a quick adventure to the top of Noonchester Mine Rd. I think it took us about 2 hours total but consider we did spend some time enjoying the views at the top and crunching some kind bars.

The trail was only 2.5 miles each way and narrow and winding in some sections but we took it slow and steady and did not really run into any issues. Pete was on 21"s and David was on 20"s and both did great. I expected the trail to be a tad easier which it kind of was.

We came across two other vehicles. One was a Toyota 4 Runner we came across at the top and a Grand Cherokee that we met halfway on the way down. The Grand Cherokee decided to turn around and not go to the top.

I think our trip would be the last time the road would be open as it closes for the winter and does not open until snow clears in the spring.

Overall, nice short trail with moderate obstacles and amazing views of Lake Tahoe from the West Side.

P.S: Could have added some pics of Cody but I did not get any from Pete.

Hahahaha the Jeep turned around! Would you recommend this trail for a beginner?

Yes I would! Cause it's be good experience for someone who's just starting his adventure journey. You'll love it

@Vincent you should check out the Blackwood Canyon OHV area on the other side. It's pretty out there.
Yeah so I've heard. That has already been added to my bucket list for next year. Thank you for the recommendation.
