I got an organizer tray for the Armrest Console of my R1S last week. The tray fit ok but it was a pain to use because
1. It was not easy to grab onto
2. I had to set it somewhere while I reached down into the deep console.
So, I played around and came up with this 3D printed mechanism. It took more than a few iterations before it worked nicely. Even now, it's certainly not a foolproof motion. It takes a little practice to learn how to slide it smoothly toward the rear without bumping the catch features on the underside of the lid halves. But once you do it a few times it's pretty slick. Now I can get into the compartment while driving using just one hand.
I'll post the .stl files on printables.com if anybody who wants to have a go.

Alternatively, I'm making up a few kits that include the tray and all the brackets and fasteners for people who either can't or don't want to bother with the DIY thing.
