My husband recently got me the iphone 16 pro and so I've been looking at getting someone to build a custom dash mounted MagSafe charging solution for my R1S. Which has got me searching for a hardwired (12V + GND) module or converter which offers a female USB-C output, at least that's what the build would require from the little research I made.
This module or converter would need to accept 12V input, and will be wired directly to an IGNITION ON power source in my car (fusebox tap). I've found many options that offer: USB-C male output, a super long cable (typically for something like a radar detector or dashcam, or USB-A female. While some of these can be used with some sort of gender bender, my preference would be a module/converter with a USB-C female output (on-board or very short lead), and the 12V + GND input.
Other options I've found are buck boards that have USB-C input and different options for outputs. I would love to know if anyone has any ideas that I could consider for this solution. Thank you.
