As many of you may know, it's next to impossible to get the headrests off of the back seats. I have an R1T, and I swore my grandkids would never ride in the truck but it's been over 2 years now haha.
Anyway, installing the car seats, I found it impossible to get the back headrest to release. After searching around, I found out that was by design as Rivian has stated that it is much safer to have the headrest for people sitting in the back seat.
When you're trying to install the car seats, the install instructions for the seats said there should be headrest if it pushes the seat forward. So the headrests would have to go.
In searching the internet and forums, I found Ray Lepper's post about a tool he printed at home. So I contacted him and sent him the money. He promptly sent me the tool, which arrived just a few days later.
The tool Ray printed works GREAT. Took me a couple of seconds to remove the headrest. It's simple and easy to use.
For anyone interested, you can let me know so I can give you Ray's contact.
