Rivian Apple Music Fix: Hard Reset Did the Trick

Last night, when I reached my Rivian truck after work, my iPhone displayed a message. I captured a screenshot to show what happens if you avoid signing back into the app. The Phone as a Key (PAAK) feature still works without logging in again. If you're in an area with poor cell service, don’t try to sign in. Instead, keep using the app and PAAK until you’re somewhere with a good signal and can access your password. The screen’s text explains this, but some users still get confused. This is a quick tip for PAAK users to avoid trouble.

I left my Rivian parked for about 2 days with Gear Guard turned on in a busy area. When I returned, Apple Music was completely broken. I tried multiple resets, but none of them worked. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen weird issues with their Rivian recently.

I reached out to service, but they said it’s an appointment and I wasn't up for that given how long appointment dates take.

Then, I performed a hard reset by pressing the emergency flashers and the left button together, and it seems to have fixed the issue.

Before this, my experience and Rivian’s advice were to only do a soft reset or let the truck enter deep sleep mode. I’ve always hesitated to fully reboot the vehicle, but this time, it appears to have done the trick.
