A couple of weeks back, our Rivian club organized an event. It was the Drive Electric Earth Day! It's an annual event organized to host EV owners. It's an event were EV owners come together and have their EV's out on display. Interacting with each other, getting to connect with fellow owners, and most importantly, making new friends.

The Meetup

The afternoon started at 12:30 at a meetup spot over at the Town Center. Matt and his Kate, John, Sami, and Crewe, Mike LaBree, Todd, Paul, Mike 813, Tom and Tammy and Nikki and I all met up so we could caravan over together.

If you’ve never seen 8 R1s rolling into an EV event, close your eyes, picture it. It’s awesome. We were immediately the highlight of the DEED there at the University of North Florida. That Jeep 4Xe to the left of my R1T belongs to John and Sami. It’s lifted on 37s! That thing is awesome!

The Event

There were three R1Ses, including this one which belongs to Henry Gare. Mike 813 had his there but by the time I started taking pics, he had already left. The third belonged to Buddy. It was a FG, BM, on 21s and he had just taken delivery a few days before the event.

We had a great time at the event. Afterwards, we headed over to M Shack for a burger and beer. Thanks to everyone that came out! Especially Tom and Tammy who came up from Orlando, to Mike who came up from Deerfield Beach.

It was awesome! I can’t wait for next years event…We went from JUST US last year, to 12 R1s today….who knows how many will be there next year. We had more R1s there than Tesla Model Ses. It was great!
