I recently swapped to +0 offset wheels on my Rivian R1S, and I wanted to share my experience in regard to rubbing. I've had quite a few people ask if the +0 offset causes rubbing at the lowest ride height. I can confirm after testing, that there is zero rubbing at all ride heights - both when the suspension is fully compressed and at full extension in all-terrain mode. The fitment has been flawless. For reference, the factory all-terrain wheel+48mm offset equals roughly +1.89 inches (48mm ÷ 25.4mm/inch), so the difference in offset between the two would push the wheel nearly 2 inches inward compared to the +0 setup.

This change in offset significantly impacts the wheel’s position relative to the fender and suspension. The +0 offset allows the wheels to sit more outward, offering a more aggressive stance without compromising clearance. I’ve had no issues with rubbing or suspension interference, even with wider tires and wider wheels. The Matrix is a 9" wheel whereas the all-terrain wheel is 8.5".

If you’re considering a more aggressive wheel setup on your R1S, a +0 offset works well without any rubbing at different ride heights, but always make sure your tire width matches your desired fitment for optimal clearance.

Hope this helps for those looking to upgrade without sacrificing performance or aesthetics!
