With all the options out there for hauling our bikes I have owned a lot of systems. Roof mounts, Hitch Mounts, Sea Suckers, etc...

Initially I borrowed a friends 1up as they are considered one of the premier brands for this style of hitch rack system. I found it to be very "clunky" to operate, and very ugly in its design. It also sat extremely close to the tailgate when in the onloaded/stowed position, (1/2" clearance).

Originally I had ordered the non-swing out version of this rack (2" Guiderail) thinking it would do the trick and it was very nice, but it left me wanting the ability to leave my bikes loaded and still have access to the tailgate/bed when needed. Once the Afterparty swing out version was released I knew I needed to make the switch!

This version of the rack is far and away the best hitch mount system I have used! The fit and finish on the rack is a 10. The tilt handle operation is easy and well designed. The anti wobble hitch does its job really well, even when loaded! The integrated chain lock cable is fantastic and easy to use. Easily holds any 2 bikes and is expandable to 3 bikes if desired.

In the near future the only thing I will be adding to this rack is some additional 12" led brake lights for greater visibility when in use as 2 bikes can block the brake lights in certain instances. I hope we will get a future update where an accessory can be plugged in without engaging "tow mode"...

This is super helpful - did you end up adding the LED brake lights?

@Vincent what made you go with this swing as opposed to the RIGd UltraSwing. I've been considering both of these options and curious to hear your thoughts on the UltraSwing with a Ramble Rack.

As you can see, it's very easy to adjust to the side which is one of it's many advantages. Also, it's easy to add another swing out for a second bike. Personally it's a great option, better than the rigid Ultraswing tbh

I've been looking to get a bike mount for my R1S. Seem a couple of posts about different options. Would you recommend this as the best bike mount option?

I've run the RIGd UltraSwing in the past and they make a pretty stout platform. They've recently launched the Ramble Rack and it's making some traction in the MTB scene for sure. It's pricy but everyone who runs that rack loves it. They have fitment ready for the R1S and the R1T. I'm eager to get my hands on one.
