2025 Rivian R1S/R1T Headlamp Recall – FMVSS 108 Noncompliance

Just got this in the mail today regarding my 2025 Rivian R1S. Posting it up for awareness in case anyone else hasn't received theirs yet.

Recall Overview:
Rivian has issued an important safety recall for certain 2025 R1S and R1T vehicles. The recall concerns a noncompliance with FMVSS 108, which covers lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment.

Issue:
Some headlamps may fail to illuminate at vehicle startup in cold temperatures due to improperly configured parts supplied during manufacturing. This can reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash.

Rivian’s Response:

• A remedy plan is currently in development.
• Rivian will notify owners once the repair is available.
• The repair will be performed free of charge at Rivian Service Centers.

Not really that big of a deal but it could lead to headlight failure at some point if not addressed.
