Charging Limit UX: Button Over Sliders is a Great Addition

Ever since I got my R1S, I've had a daily charging routine, which I follow all the time. For my daily routine during the week, I set the vehicle to charge up to 85% each night. This level is enough for my regular commutes and errands, helping to preserve the battery’s long-term health. On weekends, I often charge it to 100% for longer trips that need more range. However, there have been a couple of instances—two or maybe three times—when the car ignored my 85% charging limit and went all the way to 100%. This unexpected change has me a little bit concerned, even tho it doesn't seem like it's much of a big deal. Has anyone else experienced such before?

Don't think I've said this before but I'm actually grateful for whoever pushed to add those three buttons to the charging limit page. It’s such a small tweak, but it makes setting the limit so much quicker and easier than messing with that slider. Sure, the slider has a sleek vibe, but those buttons are a total game-changer for everyday use.

You can tell someone on the product team really thought about how people actually use this feature. Those buttons might not scream “fancy,” but they’re practical and save time, which is honestly what matters most when you’re just trying to get things done.
