The very first day I got my R1T, one thing I couldn't help but notice was the fact that Rivian decided to cut out a portion of the seat, which resulted in my shoulder blades digging into it. Later on, I got to understand why they did it to make the seats look super duper cool! Although I don't recall any other manufacturer's cutting out part of my sofa or bed to display their logo haha.

Anyways, in all seriousness if you are really tall or have an overly long torso like me then here is hopefully a quick fix that improves your comfort a little. I can't attest to how well this will hold up, but hey, it doesn't cost much and is easy to replace. I just rolled up a shop towel with some electrical tape on the outside and put some double sided tape on the back to secure it in place.

I am planning on sewing a cover onto it in the future with a little open and or closed cell foam in certain spots as well. If any aftermarket companies are out there I'd recommend offering a "comfort seat pad" for the R1T/R1S that fills this gap and sell them as a pair.
