Have any of you had an issue with the hood looking like it wants to lift/open up in headwinds? We recently had a strong headwind where I live, and I could see the hood moving around a lot. It looked like the corners of the hood lifted nearly an inch, and the metal was bowing in the front-middle section.
I tried to catch a picture, but the wind wasn't strong, and it's kind of hard to see, but the hood fits flush with the fender when sitting still, but the other picture shows how the corner is lifting in a (mild) headwind at freeway speeds. The hood feels tight--I can't really move it with my hand, but it appears that the design allows significant force to build up under the hood. I'll be going in for service in 2 weeks time, so I'm going to ask them to look into it.
This is the alignment when moving slow or no head wind. Not the greatest shot--I'll try and get a clearer shot next time we get strong wind, but I do think the problem is visible here.
