Was on a shakedown with a tech on Monday after he performed some minor stuff on my R1S (wind noise fixes), and during the drive, got a pretty horrible sound that he felt on the left dead-pedal (he was driving) when under regen deceleration into a right turn.
I've heard this before, but it happened twice on the drive with him. He took a look under my vehicle and saw nothing obvious, and gave me an ominous "I can't speculate but I do not like that noise"
I'd have loved to post an audio or video if that were possible so maybe someone can be able to identify the sound of he or she has experienced such before. I've heard a couple of owners say they had their recall work for clicking under acceleration. I've put in a ticket, looks like early April is when they'd be ready for me.
Was doing a little research online and I came across an article were someone said he had an issue with regards to clicking under acceleration/deceleration. that turned out to be a broken CV boot. He had it replaced and it turned out good as new, no clicking. He advised to look for leaking grease around the CV, likely its green (or black if its been leaking a while and covered with dirt)
His wasn't super loud like mine but it was noticeable so not sure if its the same thing. There was a time I actually had another clicking sound but it turned out one of the bolts was loose on the front suspension so maybe it could be that but I haven't checked yet.
