If you look at the Rivian steering wheel, at the bottom there is an upside-down V piece. It has a flat black coating. Mine is peeling. I tried doing some aftermarket research but couldn't find a suitable solution. I wonder if this is a known issue.
It looks like the piece itself could be replaced without replacing the whole steering wheel. Of course I will get it fixed. I think it's possible to create a piece of plastic with a flat black surface that is built in that won't peel. Honestly, I would be happy with plain plastic to avoid yet another service trip.
It's not a big issue as it doesn't affect my driving in any way but having an interior looking good and decent is what I always want for my R1T. This makes me wonder if a coated piece of plastic is prettier than plain plastic. Could anyone even tell the difference?
