I’m only posting this because I discovered a new cheap tool for cleaning those hard to perfect places. In no way am I looking for sympathy…not even a little bit.
We were on our way to the mall on Sunday morning, when I heard that sound. Then I felt the spray.
My son lost his lunch in a rather impressive explosion.
I was most concerned about how to get everything out of the vents and nooks throughout the truck. After about an hour of shop vacuuming, I discovered a super useful tool.
A paintbrush! A nice 2 1/2” wide brush with soft hair. I sprayed a liberal amount of 409 in the vents while holding a shop vac up to it. The 409 loosened up all the vom and the paint brush could reach beyond where a q-tip could. I’d then hold the brush up to the mouth of the shop vac and suck off the crud and moisture. All in all the vents are spotless. I was able to keep any moisture from running back into the system. I had to be careful not to get any spray into the usb ports.
I used the brush and suck technique for the chair tracks and wood grain too (no 409 on the wood)
The paintbrush worked great on all the seams throughout the truck.
You’ll be happy to hear my little guy, Drew is doing fine now.
