Rivian Gen 2 Premium Audio and Apple Music: Turn OFF Sound Check. So much better sound!

I have previously used the streaming capability back when it first came out as well as the hotspot since before Connect+ was a thing. I am trying to get the streaming working again but it seems to have been hidden fully behind the paywall. (Not looking to argue the merits of that system here) I recall after Connect+ came out being able to still use the Hotspot while tethering with my phone, and losing it isn't a big deal other than needing to update my wife's wifi, but I think I remember needing to be on the Hotspot to do casting. My question is, did Rivian remove both of these features to fully behind the connect+ paywall? I thought that if you used phone tethering or if you were connected to WIFI you could use most all of the usual streaming like features of the Rivian? If anyone can recommend how to stream while using tethering I'm sure myself and others without Connect+ would appreciate it.

I saw on Reddit that we should try turning off Sound Check in Apple Music settings. I tried it and it was a simple major fix. Turning that off really made the sound better.

I like music of all kinds and can’t tune the gen 2 anywhere close to the meridian. Actually moved Apple Music to hidden icon as tidal and it's much better especially in the atmos tracks.

To turn off sound check setting to vastly improve Apple Music sound presence balance and full speaker volumes, just follow through these processes.

1. Go to Apple Music while in park
2. Tap profile shape upper right corner right of Library
3. You'd see Sound Check (3rd down from top)
4. set balance fade dot over right shoulder
5. Lastly, Que up Nils Lofgren Drim and Bass Intro or any of your favorite music and enjoy your trip.
