- R1S Rivian Blue
Happy New Year guys. So recently, I had a weird experience with my R1S. Just updated to new software a few days ago. I was driving along today and the rivian in front of me pulled over erratically and I honked at them cause it looked like a douche move, but the woman eventually pulled up to me down the road when we were stopped and said her rivian just started lurching on her.
I never heard or experienced so told her to call service. She had a Gen 1 R1T. Fast forward a few hours later, suddenly my R1S started to feel a bit of grinding-ish when accelerating but went away after a minute or two. A few minutes later, my Rivian started lurching like a wheel was falling off. I pulled over like a crazy person and checked wheels, there was no sensors or warnings, but i noticed my dashcam recorded it as an event.
I checked the video and you can see the truck lurching but no warnings or brake lights or anything. Was really terrified to drive the thing. Was super crazy that the lady experienced the same thing a few hours before in another R1. Any ideas? I did the hazard record thing and saved the video. will call service tomorrow but sounds like could be bad.
Someone said it might be the steering wheel vibrates if you get too close to one of the lane markers, and then the steering autocorrects itself. I can't say if that is what happened. Also suggested I should try driving it some more (on low traffic side streets) to see if the issue recurs. I'd give this a try and see what happened next.
