Nobody likes to cook in the rain or under a hot scorching sun. So for anyone who has a camp kitchen, you could get a tarp cover such as this for shade. It's a simple tarp cover for shade and rain protection that can come in very handy a day the weather might decide to not be too friendly.
How to attach it to the truck is both simple and complex. Fortunately, Rivian installed two roof brackets to which one can mount cross bars for a roof rack.
There is some 5” x 1” angle iron and two u-bolts and fashioned a means of attaching an expandable tent pole to the roof, and using some shower curtain rings, The 6’ x 8’ tarp was attached to the truck. One side is silver while the other is black. We chose to put the silver side up.
Two expandable tent poles were put in the far outer corners (kept apart with a 3/4" conduit pipe) and a third pole was put in the center to create a bit more headroom & water drainage.

It's a pretty simple fix and one you can do by yourself or with maybe the help of a friend just so the process could be faster. It's not a must to have this tarp cover, as I know some people do enjoy feeling the weather on their skin, but if you're not such a person, then getting this would be good especially if you've got the camp kitchen and you make use of it a lot whole on trips.
