Owning my R1S for almost 2 years, it's no surprise that I'll need to change the tires for better performance. I am not a huge fan of the stock 21" Pirellis as they don't last long are silly expense. I also want to do some more off pavement adventures. Heck should have started with A/T tires but this is what they had stock so I could get it right away and not wait months for my order.

Now I have been looking at tires non stop and would appreciate some advice. It seems the Nitto Terra Recon Grappler is popular, gets good mileage and lowish noise on highway. I found a few other less known brand tires that have similar or potentially better specs (and even better pricing at a couple local stores)

Things I care about in order (more or less)

1. Range
2. Noise
3. Price
4. Off Road Capability
5. Wear (aka how long does it last)
6. Performance

Biggest concern is I don't see anyone with a Rivian trying the Atturo or Arroyo, but they have decent reviews on various online stores. So any recommendations? If I go with Aturro/Arroyo I will make sure to do a first post for anyone else considering off brand tires!

Running the Arroyo Tamarock A/T right now. So far so good. We did have to road-force balance them to get them all right but for the price, it's kinda hard to beat. Super affordable tire, and a fairly aggressive tread pattern for an A/T. Nitto (owned by Toyo) will have a stronger name and might take less to balance but I personally hate the look of that Nitto AT. The Arroyo Tamarock A/T has more of a Toyo AT2 look. They look much better.

View attachment 2210I also love the Arroyo tires. They fit properly and work seamlessly too.
