Used my R1T to pick up a new trailer. First time using a distribution hitch. We'll see what differences this trailer makes on handling and efficiency. Stay tuned...

Edit... What an experience! Some good, mostly bad. I will be making a comprehensive post about the experience later. Synopsis... The infrastructure just isn't there. If anything goes wrong or doesn't work, you'll be stranded! A company that shall be nameless, with the initials EA, is singlehandedly thwarting the EV movement/experience! Much more on this but if I were a conspiriorist (sp), I would think this was the plan all along by the auto industry (VW).

Even RAN charging was not without issues! Twice sent the wrong way. Once was lucky no was was there (see Quartzsite below).

Because I was always doing a deep charge 10-100% I found out it was more economical to charge over night at RV Parks (I was in no rush).

The larger, double weight trailer did impact efficiency by about 10%. I would like to see Rivian manage the motors in towing mode akin to the way they are turning off/on motors in the dual motor configuration.

Great post. Just what we need to know! What's the weight of the trailer?
