Owning the Rivian R1T: What to Expect

I have previously used the streaming capability back when it first came out as well as the hotspot since before Connect+ was a thing. I am trying to get the streaming working again but it seems to have been hidden fully behind the paywall. (Not looking to argue the merits of that system here) I recall after Connect+ came out being able to still use the Hotspot while tethering with my phone, and losing it isn't a big deal other than needing to update my wife's wifi, but I think I remember needing to be on the Hotspot to do casting. My question is, did Rivian remove both of these features to fully behind the connect+ paywall? I thought that if you used phone tethering or if you were connected to WIFI you could use most all of the usual streaming like features of the Rivian? If anyone can recommend how to stream while using tethering I'm sure myself and others without Connect+ would appreciate it.

I've owned the Rivian R1T for a couple of years now, and so far, I'd say that it's easily one of the best trucks I've ever driven, which is wild to say because it's an EV. I never thought I would say that about an EV.

It has a durable battery that lasts long, its interior and exterior are quite unique, and it's one built for the adventures of life with all the outdoor-focused tech and stock features.

Rivian isn't the most popular when it comes to EVs, but there's no doubt that they're getting there and, in no time, would be ready to compete with the big guns in the market like Tesla and Lucid.

So if you're thinking of getting the R1T, things to expect are

1. It's comfortable and safe
2. A modern truck laced with modern tech for a better user experience.
3. The R1T is built for the adventures of nature, and you'd definitely have an awesome experience with it.
4. Fast and easy to charge.
5. Budget-friendly (if you go with an entry model)

If you're a fan of trucks like myself, looking for a new truck to adventure with, the R1T is your go-to option, and I promise you, every second you spend driving it would all be worth it.
