I’m still thrilled with my Rivian, but I’ve noticed a few issues that could be improved, especially with the R2 launch on the horizon. First, service is a hassle—wait times for parts are long, and vehicles often sit for weeks before anyone even looks at them. It feels like there’s no clear system to prioritize repairs.

Another issue is the heat pump; mine’s been noisy and sometimes doesn’t work well, which I’ve heard from others too. These fixes are crucial because the R2 could be a game-changer for Rivian’s sales, but only if they nail reliability and support. If they scale up production without addressing these, it could hurt their reputation. I love the brand, but smoother service and better heat pump performance would make a huge difference.

Another concern is charging speed, which can be slow compared to some competitors that charge from 20-80% in under 20 minutes. I've heard a few owners complain about their charging curve feeling inconsistent, and that’s a drawback for long trips. Also, the 12V battery issue is worrying—some owners report sudden failures that leave the car needing a tow with little warning.

These aren’t dealbreakers for me, but they’re noticeable. With the R2, Rivian has a chance to attract tons of new buyers, but they need to fix these quirks to avoid overwhelming their service network. I’m rooting for them because the driving experience is fantastic, but ironing out these issues could make the R2 a massive hit and boost sales big time. Has anyone else run into these problems or have thoughts on the R2?
