Thought I should share a Youtube video I watched some days back about 2025 R1T Tri-motor Max Pack. Well, for those who haven't seen the video or watched it yet, the Tri Max barely got more range than the Gen1 quad and overall I'd say it's efficiency wasn't better either. It only went 9 miles more with a 10% larger pack.
Both were wearing 20" AT Pirellis with similar conditions. I should’ve added, 298 versus 289. Wonder what happened to all the vaunted efficiency gains tho.
This is pretty much just my personal takeaway. I should have added efficiency of 2.1 vs 2.3 as you could spend 50k more on a new Tri and get 9 more miles. That is with a heat pump and a max pack.
I've driven the Gen 1 and Gen 2 trucks before and to be honest, I really enjoyed driving the Gen 1. Maybe cause it was the first rollout but driving was smooth. I now drive the Gen 2 and despite my personal take, it's not as bad as it sounds. Everyone knows what they want and what appeals to them. Some people love the Gen 2 more while others prefer to stick to the Gen 1. Either option you chose, it's a guarantee that you'd definitely be getting the best out of your truck.
