I was on YouTube the other day when I saw a video of a couple reviewing their R1T a few months ago, and they had created a handy folding platform for the dog to ride comfortably in the back seat without being on the seats or needing a seat cover.

So I figured I could make something similar too. It folds to fit in the under seat storage when not in use and I covered it in some carpet runner material I found at Home Depot (couldn't find a thicker rubber tread mat on short notice, though I might update it in the future for better wipe down ability when dirty).

So far it works great as there's enough room for the dog to play around and I don't even have to worry about the seats. One of the huge benefits about owning a Rivian, is the fact that there's always something new you get to learn everyday. A lot of owners come up with 3D print accessories that are customized to satisfy their needs and even if it doesn't suit what you want, you can still get am idea of what you might need.
