Seat Back Tablet Mount From Riviparts

I have previously used the streaming capability back when it first came out as well as the hotspot since before Connect+ was a thing. I am trying to get the streaming working again but it seems to have been hidden fully behind the paywall. (Not looking to argue the merits of that system here) I recall after Connect+ came out being able to still use the Hotspot while tethering with my phone, and losing it isn't a big deal other than needing to update my wife's wifi, but I think I remember needing to be on the Hotspot to do casting. My question is, did Rivian remove both of these features to fully behind the connect+ paywall? I thought that if you used phone tethering or if you were connected to WIFI you could use most all of the usual streaming like features of the Rivian? If anyone can recommend how to stream while using tethering I'm sure myself and others without Connect+ would appreciate it.

Ran into a Rivian owner who told me about Riviparts and how he got his seat back tablet mount from them. He said he was going to 3D print it but didn’t have the hardware needed on hand, so he decided to buy it from their store and help support them in the process.

The fit looks pretty snug, but he says that’s a good thing because once the tablet is mounted, there is still some wiggle. Which I think it’ll be fine for road vibrations and won’t shake enough to make a toddler feel sick.

He also said that he went with the tablet mount from Amazon that Riviparts suggested. As an added bonus, the handles on the back of the mount to open the clamp up for inserting a tablet are almost a perfect match to the yellow accents in the truck. A match made in heaven!

Here's the Riviparts ball mount without the tablet holder attached. There's still room to plug the tablet into the USB-C port, which is perfect.

He was kind enough to share these photos with me and I'm already making arrangements to get mine, as I believe this would be a lifesaver for our upcoming road trips. A great way to keep the kids occupied and entertained at the same time.
