How Did You Pick Between R1T And R1S?

I have previously used the streaming capability back when it first came out as well as the hotspot since before Connect+ was a thing. I am trying to get the streaming working again but it seems to have been hidden fully behind the paywall. (Not looking to argue the merits of that system here) I recall after Connect+ came out being able to still use the Hotspot while tethering with my phone, and losing it isn't a big deal other than needing to update my wife's wifi, but I think I remember needing to be on the Hotspot to do casting. My question is, did Rivian remove both of these features to fully behind the connect+ paywall? I thought that if you used phone tethering or if you were connected to WIFI you could use most all of the usual streaming like features of the Rivian? If anyone can recommend how to stream while using tethering I'm sure myself and others without Connect+ would appreciate it.

When I wanted to put in my reservation for a Rivian, I was having a really hard time deciding though between the R1S and R1T. My heart was originally set on the R1T because having a truck just sounds so appealing. I really enjoy camping and the outdoors. I'm always having to haul around stuff too that a pickup would be so useful for. And I love that gear tunnel.

So I find my mood on which way to go changes all the time. Whenever I look on YouTube or articles everyone just compares the two from a feature standpoint and not a lifestyle one. I know every detail on how they're the same and different.

I decided to stick with the R1S cause it feels more like a family ride, compared to the R1T. For someone like me who is a mom and has 2 dogs too, I felt the R1S would offer me so much room to accommodate everybody. Of which so far, everyone has been enjoying the new R1S.

How Did You Pick Between R1T And R1S?
