I heard that for orders placed on or after January 1, 2025, each gets 500 points, where 1 point equals $1 in credit. The points can be redeemed in the Rivian Gear Shop for accessories or in the R1 Shop toward select purchases, though they can’t cover deposits, taxes, or custom configurations outside the R1 Shop. Points also expire after two years. Before now, referrals also included six months of free charging at Rivian Adventure Network (RAN) stations, capped at a lifetime limit of three years, but that perk has since been phased out for new referrals.
