In January, I had Clearplex film put on my Rivian R1S windshield to protect it from scratches. Now, there’s a worn spot near the driver’s side pillar, likely from the wiper rubbing it. The rest looks okay, no bubbles or issues. I’m upset because I didn’t know it would wear out so fast. If I’d known it lasted so little time, I wouldn’t have paid $600 for it.
When I called the shop, they said Clearplex only lasts three months. They never told me that when I paid $600 for it. I thought it would protect my windshield for years, not months. Personally, I think it's too costly for something so short-lived, and I feel tricked. If they’d been clear about the short lifespan, I’d have skipped it. Now I’m debating replacing it or going without, knowing it wears out so fast
