Navigation Troubles With My R1S: Open To Any Suggestions

Rivian's Battery Estimation hasn't been the Most Accurate

Ever since I got my R1S, I've noticed that the battery range estimation hasn't been the best. Driving a Tesla for the last 3 years, it never had this kind of issue. During my last trip, the driver display shows 255mi remaining. My total trip (including 2 destinations) is 160mi so I believed I should be able to make it easily with a nice cushion. But the center display showed that I would arrive at first destination with 4mi remaining, and run out before the second destination! I knew this was false so I made the drive anyway, and arrived at second destination with 50mi remaining. If I understand correctly, the driver display range is simply the total rated range multiplied by SOC. That makes sense here, since my vehicle is rated for 370mi, 255mi is 68.9%. Coming from Tesla, I expect the number shown in the center display should account for factors like elevation, wind, traffic speed, etc. It's sad that my own mental estimation is better than Rivian's.

So something interesting happened yesterday morning on my commute to my parents house. I was in route, left my house with 82miles SOC as I neglected to plug in last night and my commute is about 63miles all in and I will charge on my way.

I don't DCFC unless I am on a trip and typically I know where I want to stop to DCFC. While in an active navigation session I was able to see the chargers along my route but UNABLE to select any of them and navigate to them!

I actually intended to stop at one cause I wanted to test the UI's features for routing to a charger. I was predicted to arrive at my my destination with 11miles of range remaining and got here with 9miles remaining, at 3% SOC...

So with that said, why wouldn't the Navigation allow me to select a charging location?

Don't know if I need to end the current destination and then start a new search. I'm open to any suggestions.
