Don't know if this is a known problem and have been discussed before but this being an issue I am wondering if anyone has found a solution to this problem.

I had my car aligned twice at the service center, but it did not affect the steering wheel wobble at all. I even added that tires might need balancing in my service request.

I am actually wondering if it might have something to do with the steering wheel linkage bushings or another suspension component.

Is this likely another aftermarket fix?

We had a similar issue after mounting up new wheels and tires.

1. Your tires will not balance within the preferred Rivian road-force spec. There is much more feedback in the Rivian steering column and steering wheel compared to something like a Toyota where there is much more forgiveness. That said, you should aim for a tire that's well under 20 pounds of road-force and preferably road-force under 10 pounds. With some All-terrains and mud-terrains, it's harder to get tires to balance under 20 pounds of road force. Check your tire balance and see where you fall. The lower you can get your road force, the less vibration in the steering wheel, you will feel.

2. Lug-centric vs. hub-centric wheels. If your wheels are hub-centric, you shouldn't experience much rattle. If your wheels are lug-centric and you're not using a hub-centric ring, then you will feel much more vibration at the wheel. Check to see if your wheels are hub/lug centric and go from there. If you do have a lug centric wheel, you can get custom hub spacer rings made at https://www.uswheeladapters.com/.
