I paid my friend a visit yesterday and her garage cats were not impressed with Chromecast support. I tried to watch some movies through Plex app and it was a stuttery experience. We have Chromecasts on all our TV's so I definitely consider myself knowledgeable. Our old truck with Android Auto could play Plex no problem. Maybe I needed to move truck out of garage for better 4G signal. Anyone else tried Plex (with a home server) on their Rivian yet?
1/10 on Plex support. Basically unwatchable
That said, garage cats loved YouTube app. Zero issues. One hopped right up in the passenger seat to watch their birds & squirrels videos on the screen. The other watched down on us through the glass roof. Great fun. Now they're going to want to hang out in the truck even more often.
10/10 from cats on YouTube app. I probably could've opened the garage and drove around the block and they would have just kept on watching.
