I recently installed an EveryAMP OBD2 USB adapter in my Rivian to power two MagSafe/Qi wireless chargers, but I noticed it struggled with both at once. I did some tests to figure out what was going on.

Here’s what I found: the adapter can power two devices, but it has limits that affect performance, especially with high-power chargers.

1. Both ports are capped at 5V output.

2. Total power is about 25W, split unevenly (like 13.7W for one port, 11.5W for the other).

3. If I pushed the USB-C port to draw 3.6A, the adapter shut off both ports (though most devices won’t pull over 3A at 5V).

4. A Qi2 charger on USB-C worked fine with a low-power device on USB-A, but two Qi2 chargers caused both ports to cycle on and off.

What i noticed was that the adapter’s best for one high-power device at a time, and I heard EveryAMP plans to update their listings to clarify this.
