Scheduled Charging for Rivian R1S

If you’re coming from the EV world it’s important to charge during off peak hours (if you can) to save on your electric bill.

We have PG&E so you can also purchase rate plans for this as well.

There are two ways you can schedule charging 1 on the screen of your Rivian, OR in the app. I think the app is easier but I’ve got examples of both below.

One thing I forgot to note about the scheduled charging. You’ll notice I start at 10PM. I found on my first night of charging that starting at midnight (which is what I did before on my Tesla Model Y) was not enough and I didn’t get a full charge so I increased it two more hours and it seems to work. I will note that the lowest I’ve let my battery go is 75 miles so there is a chance it could take longer.
