I've got 2 sets of wheels I switch back and forth on our R1S. Ours came with the 22" sport dark wheels and in my head I always wanted a set of the 20AT's incase we went camping, skiing... you know, adventure things. What ended up happening was, I regularly switched out the wheels as a way to rotate the tires easily. I just do one for one and didn't have to lift all four corners or deal with my low ceiling in my garage.
Last time I switched out wheels, I drove for 15-20 minutes or so and the TPMS sensors started working again. No need for a tool to get them synced to the vehicle. Last 2 weeks I did another tire rotation and probably 200+ miles have been driven and no sync. Still have a TPMS sensor warning (service vehicle soon) when I put it in drive and the TPMS sensor light stays lit.
Anybody else notice this since the last few OTA updates? Maybe Rivian changed something in the software? A buddy of mine at Rivian ran my vehicle for DTC codes remotely, but even he wasn't sure if this had changed or whether it really does requires a service visit to clear.
