Knowing items to bring along on a road trip could be exhausting sometimes. So I just wanted to share a short list of useful roadtrip items to carry along.
1. This lives in the gear tunnel of our R1T. It has stuff to clean windshields when charging. Note: many charging stations are not associated with gas stations. One bottle is just water. The blue tinted is a diluted mixture 1:5 of Bug Off. I spray it and leave on for a minute. Then spray with the water. The squeege is from Turtle Wax I found at Krogers. It hinges at the head making for a compact form factor. The WD-40 is to lubricate the tonneau cover tracks. We do that almost every other time we open/close ours. Have some paper towels also. The Inside spray is for cleaning the interior. Can be used on the seats and dash. P&S Professional Detail Products - Bug Off - Insect Splatter Remover; Breaks Down Heavy Bug Splatter Concentrations; Great for Vehicle Front Grills and Bumpers.
- Clean Car Vinyl, Plastic, Finished Leather and Remove Dirt, Sweat, Oils from Interior Surfaces
- DSV Standard Professional Window Squeegee. 2-in-1 Window Cleaner Sponge and Soft Rubber Strip with Telescopic Extension Pole 127.5cm & 50” | Adjustable to Clean from Multiple Angles
2. Tesla to J1772 adapter Lectron [Only for J1772 EVs] Tesla to J1772 Charging Adapter, Max 48 Amp & 250V - Compatible with Tesla High Powered Connectors, Destination Chargers, and Mobile Connectors. Have an extension cord if you know there will be a plug somewhat distant from your parking spot
3. Windshield screen to use when charging. Blocking that sun will make charging faster if you can turn off AC.
4. A collapsible step stool cause these vehicles are tall.
5. Spranster Super Strong Folding Step Stool - 11" - Sturdy Enough to Hold 300 Lb - Lightweight Foldable Step Stool for Adults and Kids - Opens with one Flip - Great for Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom.
6. An inflatable pillow to use when charging. This one is nice since it has a low point in the middle to keep your head stable.
If you have other items, please feel free to comment below. Always good to learn of new hacks.
