My friend was experiencing a squeak/creak sound in his Rivian door when he leans on the arm rest, or grab the handle to pull it shut. He told me about his DIY fix and I thought it'd be helpful to someone if I shared it on Trailrivian.

It seemed like a very cheaply made door panel, but to his surprise, it is quite well made, a lot of screw fasteners, and absorbent padding. Unfortunately, they didn't put any between the plastic panels between the handle area, and the window controls panel.

There are plenty of YouTube videos about how to get the panel off, for anyone who maybe don't know to get the panel off.

The supplies/tools he used are listed below
- x-acto knife
- razor knife
- scissors
- wedges (to pull panels)
- T-20
- 3M™ Squeak Reduction Tape 5430
- Siless Anticreak Tape

Unfortunately he didn't take a lot of pictures, but according to him, all you need are wedges and T-20 to pull off everything. There's a plethora of screws on the back. He used the 3M tape on the plastic portions where they might rub, or anything with low clearance (it is very thin). He also used the Silas polyester tape on bigger areas, or where a clip might mate one panel to another.

Huge difference. It feels like you would expect. He said he overdid everything because he didn't want to do it again, but he pictured below the critical part that needs the 3M tape, the only thing that I think he needs to do (and could be improved at the factory). I hope this helps someone else as he can now squeeze the handle or lean, and experience absolutely no sound.
