I noticed a pool of liquid under the rear axle of my truck on Monday morning when pulling out of the garage. Looked under the vehicle and something is leaking. Pretty significant amount of fluid. Its clear with some slight viscosity, not water.
I immediately opened a service ticket but soonest appt at the Service Center was December 27th. No errors displayed but concerned about driving like this. I called service this morning, hoping to see if they can get it in sooner and luckily for me, Rivian was able to advance my service appointment after seeing the photos. They did not recommend I take the R1T on the road trip I had planned.
They told me to drop it off at the service center on Monday December 23rd. They said the rear drive unit is the culprit. A new one is on order to arrive next Tuesday. ETA for repair completion is most likely Monday, December 30th.
