Yesterday, I noticed my Rivian’s dog mode isn’t working right. When I leave it on for just a few minutes, the cabin gets way too hot, showing over 75 degrees, which isn’t safe for my Pug, even in chilly weather. I’m not sure if this is a serious problem or something minor, but it’s worrying me. I’m wondering if I should book a service appointment to get it checked out, or if this is a common issue others have seen.
It’s frustrating because I want to keep my dog comfortable, and I don’t know what’s causing the heat to spike like this.
I also noticed this happens whenever the rear vents are on. Yesterday, during a two-hour drive home, I tried warming the back seats, but after about 10 minutes, the whole cabin got uncomfortably hot. The only way to cool it down was to turn off the HVAC and keep the rear vents off.

I’m not sure if this is a software glitch or something more serious. I’m thinking about scheduling a service visit soon, especially since my heat pump is getting louder, but I’m hoping it’s just a simple fix. Has anyone else dealt with this?
