The R1T is a truck I'm so much in love with and wanted to preserve as much of its great styling as possible. The door sills of any truck are often the most worn out paint surface early on, as they're subject to constant foot traffic and the debris that comes with it.
I've been looking at the billet aluminum door sills and the idea is to protect that surface while also adding a hint of sophisticated style - which you can take a step further via the custom engraving option. I originally was looking at making a set just for my own R1T, but seems with time, I might offer them up to other Rivian owners as well.
Are they a completely necessary product? I won't lie. No, they are not. But do they look awesome? You bet. Here are some examples of the engraved version.
