I’ve been messing around with 3D printing lately, trying out new ideas and hoping to get better with each project. One thing I made is a double-sided clip for the Rivian R1S front storage area. It has a regular cup holder on the outside and what I call a “clamp” (like a cup holder without a base) on the inside. I also designed some springs you can add to the clamp to hold different cup sizes snugly, so they don’t wiggle around.

The idea came from someone wanting a huge cup holder for a 64oz water bottle with a sleeve that could sit on the floor. I was already thinking about ways to improve the storage area, so this fit right in. I’m still playing with the design and tweaking it to make it better.

I’d really like to hear what you think about it. If you try printing and using it, let me know if it works well or if it needs changes. The files are in my Experiments folder for anyone who wants to check them out.
