I was on my way to work this morning when I spotted a Rivian that I think looked pretty awesome. The R1T was rocking this matte bronze vinyl wrap that personally, I think looked really cool and classy, like it was ready for an adventure or a fancy night out. The way the bronze caught the morning sun was unreal, almost like it belonged in a blockbuster action movie. I’m guessing that wrap’s doing a solid job of keeping the paint safe from scratches or mud, especially if the owner’s hitting the trails. What really got me was how the vinyl wrap transformed the whole vibe of the truck. The bronze wasn’t in-your-face; it was subtle but still made everyone do a double-take. I love that you can wrap a vehicle to protect it and switch up the look later without touching the original paint. Plus, it’s gotta be way easier on the wallet than a full-on paint job. The owner clearly put some heart into this one—blacked-out badges and slightly tinted lights tied it all together, giving it this sleek, intentional style. I couldn't stop thinking about the choice of the bronze wrap cause it’s such a rare color to chose for a vinyl wrap color choice and it gave the Rivian this perfect mix of tough and refined. Honestly, I’m a little jealous. It’s got me daydreaming about what color I’d pick if I wrapped my own R1T—something bold but not over-the-top. I literally had to pull over and ask the owner if I could take a couple of photos of his truck, which he politely agreed to. Anyone else spotted a wrap this epic cruising around?

Just yesterday, I went to hop in my R1S, and the dashboard lit up with a warning that the hatch was open. No matter what I do, it refused to stay shut. I slammed it a few times, poked around with the manual latch, and even tried rebooting the whole system through the touchscreen, but nothing worked. It’s a bummer because I never planned on booking another service appointment for another 3 months, and I’m not thrilled about leaving it like this. Anyone else dealt with this? I’m wondering if there’s a trick to keep it secure enough to drive without it flapping open on the highway.

Right now, I’m brainstorming ways to make do until I can get it fixed. I don’t want to risk anything flying out or water sneaking in, especially with spring weather being so unpredictable. One idea I had was to grab some bungee cords and hook them from the hatch to a couple of suction cups stuck on the rear window. It’s not pretty, but it might hold things together for short trips around town. I’d love to hear from other R1S folks about how they’ve handled this kind of thing—surely I’m not the only one who’s hit this snag! For now, I'd just observe it, but I’m determined to keep using my Rivian without too much hassle.
