I usually stick to All Purpose or standard mode when I’m driving my R1S—it’s my go-to for most trips. But the other day, I was out on the highway, and the wind was really kicking up. I could really feel the turbulence tugging at the car, making it a little less steady than I’d like. On a whim, I decided to switch over to Auto Mode, which has this neat feature where it automatically drops the suspension to the “Low” setting once you hit around 65 mph.
To be honest, it made a noticeable difference. The lower profile cut through the wind better, smoothing out the ride and giving me more confidence behind the wheel. I figured I’d share this because it’s one of those small tweaks that can really come in handy. If you’ve been driving your R1S for a while, maybe this is just a friendly nudge to give it a try next time the weather gets wild. And if you’re a new owner, it’s definitely something worth keeping in your back pocket for those blustery highway stretches.
