Misaligned R1T Panel Alignments Resolved by Service Center

I'm a bit attentive when it comes to details and last weekend, I noticed my panel wasn't aligned. I checked if the panel gaps were tight even and if the body panels flush with each other. I consider Porsche and Audi the top two companies to have near perfect body panel fitment but Rivian comes pretty close too.



Out of 11 panels that are hung on the R1T my entire drivers side was wonky. Hood/fender corner, charging door, front door, rear door and Gear Tunnel panels were slightly misaligned.



When I pointed out these issues to my SC person he agreed they were “not to spec” and said no problem. The SC tech’s would align every panel and we filled out a service ticket on the spot.

I am happy to report that my local Rivian SC technicians loosened and re-aligned all of the body panels to my satisfaction. My anal retentive side is now happy.

That's amazing. Looking forward to having our body panel lines fixed as well. This was the first thing I noticed when we bought our R1S. They are coming out next week I belive to fix ours. I'll update my original thread when they arrive.

I recently purchased a Rivian R1S and have noticed some concerns with the roof panels and trim. The body lines and roof line panels don’t seem to match up perfectly, and I’ve observed that the trim appears to be popping off a bit. It’s a bit frustrating, especially considering the price point of these vehicles!

When I mentioned this to my service advisor at the time of purchase, he assured me that within 12,000 miles, I could schedule an appointment for a Rivian tech to come out and address the issues. I’m curious to know if anyone else has had a service advisor come out for similar...

Awesome! It's actually pretty easy to notice when your panels aren't aligned. Nice to hear you plan on having it fixed soon. Would be waiting for your thread!
