I called Rivian about saving tire tread, and they suggested setting regeneration mode to low instead of standard or high. They also said to put newer tires with more tread on the front when rotating. But when I told my tire shop, they refused, saying they always put newer tires on the rear.
I’m worried about messing up my tire warranty. Should I push the shop to follow Rivian’s advice, or will that cause issues later? I don’t want them blaming me for not following their rules. Anyone have thoughts on how this affects mileage or warranty?
Going through the manual, page 378 says to follow a specific pattern, and yet, someone at Rivian told me to put newer tires on the front. How does that match up with the manual’s guide?

The manual shows a standard rotation starting with the right rear tire, moving through a set order. For a five-tire rotation with the spare, it says the spare goes to the right rear, and the left-front tire becomes the new spare. I’m not sure how putting newer tires up front fits with this pattern.
