My two front doors usually make a sound when you close them. It sounds like there is an unsecured piece of metal flapping against other metal when the doors close. The two rear doors don’t do this.

So last week, the mobile tech came out and he could kind of hear what I was saying and he went above and beyond for all of my other minor issues however with this one he advised me that it's most likely the latch mechanism and he'd say this is within spec from his POV. In fact one of the things he did was open the window and reach through and hold the door latch open and then firmly close the door. When he did this there was clearly no noise of anything actually rattling inside. This seemed to confirm it's just the latch mechanism.

He said the Gen 2 doors are better in this regard (the rattling noise was more common on Gen 1) but in some others they aren't as good because they are lighter and he's not a fan of the push button exit mechanism (especially because the rear doors are exclusively button operated and while you can remove door trim and pull a cable, he did that and showed me how absolutely impossible it'd be for someone in a crisis situation, especially a child, to actually do this).

So he did offer to take apart the door and see if there's anything he can easily spot but was very reluctant to do it, not due to time or difficulty but because he said my door alignment its self was one of the best he'd ever seen and if he starts messing with the door he's worried it may cause unexpected issues. So because it's such a minor thing and I'm already not a huge fan of the weight and feel of the Gen 2 doors I told him to just do the rest of the fixes on the car and leave the door as is. Maybe with time, thr noises would reduce or eventually stop.
