R1S
I was messing around online the other night, just curious about what used Rivian R1S models are going for these days—mostly because I’ve got one sitting in my driveway that’s been a champ for me and the family. Despite our ups and downs, it's really been a joy to drive around, so I figured I’d see what the market’s like. What I found kind of blew my mind

I found out that some used car dealers, like Carvana and CarMax, are apparently offering folks around the mid-50k range for their R1S trade-ins. Then they turn around and slap a $15k markup on them—selling them for close to 70 grand! That’s nuts to me. How are they getting away with that kind of profit?

It got me thinking about how fast these things must be moving off their lots. I mean, if they’re willing to pay mid-50s and still make that kind of cash, the demand must be through the roof. My R1S was brand-new when I snagged it, and it’s been rock-solid, so I’m not looking to sell or anything—just poking around out of curiosity. But it makes me wonder if some owners might be getting shortchanged without realizing it.

If you’ve got an R1S, it might be worth keeping an eye on what it’s actually worth right now. Those lowball offers from the big used car chains could be way under what the market’s bearing, especially if they’re flipping them that quick. I’d hate to see anyone let theirs go for peanuts when it’s clearly still got serious value. Anyone else been scoping out these prices lately? It’s wild how much these rigs are holding up.

Here's a picture just for context
